What does El Peñasco mean?
El Peñasco means "rocky". Our restaurant was named after a small town in Chihuahua, México consisting of no more than 15 adobe houses. Today, only 2-3 families remain. The owner of El Peñasco is Mayela Vargas. Her parents were born and raised in this town.
